Individual Therapy

Taking the step to talk to a psychotherapist about your experiences, thoughts, and feelings takes incredible courage. Perhaps you’ve tried other ways to deal with the difficulties in your life. Maybe you’ve been able to alleviate your pain or your confusion or your suffering for a little while, only to have those feelings and issues return.

Together, we can begin a journey that gets to the roots of your symptoms. Deepening your understanding of your thoughts and feelings can alleviate the sense of overwhelm, which allows you to make clearer choices for yourself. You may also beginto understand others better, how you relate to the people in various areas of your life, and how you might alter patterns in which you feel stuck.

As a therapist, I listen closely and thoughtfully to your story. I develop impressions of my own to share with you and we work together to find your unique path toward healing your self and

your relationships.

More About My Approach to Therapy

I see you as a unique individual, and the therapeutic relationship that develops between us is like no other. So a cookie-cutter approach is not what you'll get.  That said, I am grounded in attachment theory and have been trained in various modes of therapy, including psychoanalytic psychotherapy (aka psychodynamic), CBT/Schema therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
